Are you looking for a Business Development Representative role with a long-term career path in financial services? A growing, values-driven financial planning firm is hiring a personable and motivated BDR / Inside Sales Representative to serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients.

In this role, you will connect with warm leads, lead consultative conversations, build trust, qualify opportunities, and schedule meetings for senior advisors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, inside sales, appointment setting, client relations, or business development who wants to grow into a future role such as Paraplanner, Client Service Advisor, or Financial Advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective clients who have expressed interest in services
  • Lead warm, consultative conversations to understand goals and determine fit
  • Communicate the value of a holistic financial planning approach
  • Answer questions and guide prospects through the early stages of the client journey
  • Schedule qualified appointments with senior advisors
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and client activity updates
  • Coordinate scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up communication
  • Re-engage no-shows and nurture leads through thoughtful outreach
  • Monitor inbound activity from chat, messaging platforms, and marketing channels
  • Partner with leadership and marketing to share feedback, improve messaging, and support conversion efforts

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, inside sales, business development, or another client-facing role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Professional and confident phone presence
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with follow-through
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with lead follow-up, appointment setting, or consultative conversations is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $60,000
  • Bonus opportunity: up to 25%
